How long will it take me to learn how to drive?

Everyone learns at a different pace. Expect to need some lessons to get you confident and road ready and then some more lessons just before your driving test.

Where will my lessons be held?

Lessons start and finish at a location nominated by you. This can be home, school or work within the driving school area.

How do I pass my test?

Passing your test involves a lot of aspects, including the requisite driving and knowledge skills. Your instructor will help you decide when is best to do your test and lessons will be structured accordingly. We can assist you with practice tests along the way too.

What type of car will my lessons be in?

Barnes provides lessons in automatic and manual cars, all modern vehicles that are purchased with learner suitability in mind.

When can I do my lessons?

Our instructors work 7 days a week from morning (ie before/after school) until night. Please just let us know what time is convenient to you!

Do you have dual controlled vehicles?

Yes. All our vehicles are fitted with dual controls that meet the requisite safety requirements.

Am I covered by insurance?

Yes and all instructors have passed the working with children police check.

What other qualifications do your instructors have?

Our instructors hold a certificate in instruction, are keys to drive accredited, RMS accredited older driver assessor and are qualified to teach the safe driving course run at the PCYC.
